She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Stanton was a member of Horse Creek Mission.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who had a big heart and could be strong when she needed to. She was known for her patriotism and her love of people and animals.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law: Pat and Jerry Hipps, Pam and Carman Shelton, Paula Stanton; grandchildren: Chris Hipps, Tawnya and Chris Grizzle; great grandchildren: Mackinzee Grizzle, PFC Jessica Grizzle, Brittany Grizzle; and nieces and nephews: Joann Renner, David and Janet Shelton, Bobby Jack and Marcie Brown, Lynn and Janice Moncier, and Tim Moncier.
She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Jessie Broyles Moncier and was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years: Arville (Buck) Stanton; brothers: Tivis “Briss” Moncier, Billy Joe “Guber” Moncier, Ross Moncier; and three sisters: Mary Brown, Louise “Sis” Cutshall, and Katherine Powell.
The family will receive friends 3-6pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, a funeral service will be conducted at 6pm Sunday, September 8, 2013, in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Bowens and Rev. Martha Moore Beamer officiating.
Interment will follow at 10am Monday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:30am Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Shelton, Bobby Jack Brown, Timothy Thomas, Ken Miller, and Chris Grizzle.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice and her caregiver, Mary Tarlton.
