He was retired from Champion Paper Mill.
Mr. Worley was a memeber of Sunrise Baptist Church.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, having served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include his wife of 28 years: Jackie Worley; three stepsons: Tracy Beets and wife, Kelly, Terry Beets and wife, Angie, all of Greeneville; Jakey Beets of Mohawk; one grandson: Austin Beets; one sister and brother-in-law: Harriet and Gale Brown and family of NC; a brother and sister-in-law: Kyle and Martha Worley of MN; step grandchildren: Sandy Westmoreland and husband, Terry; Randy Beets and wife, Pam, all of Mohawk; Kandi Jackson and husband, Mike, of Johnson City; step great grandchildren: Kandra Harmon, Jacob Harmon, Jordy Harmon, Paula Beets, Sarah Beets, and Garren Jackson; his family and friends in North Carolina.
He was the son of the late Rupert Ebit Worley and Hortense Margaret Pautot.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010, in the Kiser Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. David Gibbs and Rev. Roy Mullins will officiate. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Sunrise Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his bowling friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Venture Out Campground, staff of Amedsyt Hospice, his physicians, his co-workers at Champion Paper Mill.
The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home. The Greeneville – Greene County Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession for the committal service.
