Rebecca "Becky" Gay Ramsey

Becky was an active member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church, a member of the Kathleen Hutton Sunday School Class, one of the directors of the Pine Grove Youth, and a member of the United Methodist Women.

She was the treasurer of the West Greene Band Boosters for the past few years “as she was a very big supporter of the West Greene Band”. She graduated from Greeneville High School as a member of the Class of ’81. She was fourth in a class of 206 with a grade point average of 3.88. Becky was elected Most Representative of her senior class and was a member of the Science Club, Art Club, Anchor Club, and was senior representative on the Student Council.

Her family states, “She was a loving mother and daughter, and was willing to help anyone in need.”

Becky is survived by her son: Ronald Matthew “Matt” Ramsey of Mosheim; her mother: Shirley Fellers Trantham of Midway; a sister and brother-in-law: Cindy and David Repsher of Knoxville; two nephews: Ben and Chris Repsher of Knoxville; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was the daughter of the late Ronny Trantham.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Fain, Rev. John Manney, and Rev. Richard Long officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Her pallbearers are Michael Johnson, Marty Fellers, Scott Long, Douglas Payne, Brandon Trantham, and Scotty Knight. Her honorary pallbearers are members of the Kathleen Hutton Sunday School Class, Larry Bible, Ron Metcalfe, Matt William, officers of the West Greene Band Boosters, and the Youth Directors of Pine Grove U M Church.
