Randall was a retired mechanical draftsman from Weavexx (Huyck Formex) since 2005 and enjoyed watching races, restoring vintage cars, and fishing with his brothers. Randall was a man who valued commitment and honoring his vows. One of his favorite things was handing out giant handfuls of candy to trick-or-treaters on Halloween. Randall was also a Vietnam War veteran with a great sense of humor. One of his favorite hats said "This vet is medicated for your protection." Randall was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who made his family laugh by making crazy pet names for them. He also enjoyed following Hee Haw's Archie Campbell in "Balking Tackwards" and would tell his grandchildren stories of the "The Pee Little Thrigs" and how Rindercella Slopped Her Dripper". He would make up his own words and laugh at people's reactions as they tried to figure out what he wanted when he ordered a cup of "canoff" (coffee) or clean "fijork" (fork). He was well loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
Randall is survived by his wife of 27 years: Karen Fulton Smith; two daughters: Lorraine (Chuck) Furtner of Knoxville, Jennifer (Allen) Bird of Limestone; three granddaughters: Tabatha Bird of Johnson City, Randa (Joseph) Norton of Kingsport, and Savannah Furtner of Knoxville; three brothers and one sister: Brent (Beverly) Smith, Keith Smith, Gary (Cindy) Smith and Elaine Dolan, all of Greeneville; special nieces and nephews: Amy Miller, Bryan Smith, Rance (Tonya) Smith, Sean Dolan, Scott Dolan; and great nieces and great nephews: Mercedez Miller, Alexis Gray, Kelsie Smith, Lucas Smith, and River Smith.
