She was a retired teacher and attended Cedar Creek Presbyterian Church and Mt. Zion Methodist Church. She was also a member of The Red Hat Society.
MaryAnn was an avid bridge player and tennis player. She loved games of all kinds; as well as, the beach and spending time with her family. She loved dogs and had several in her lifetime.
She is survived by her children: Eddie and Becky Wilcox, Greg and Jewell Handy; her grandchildren: Jesse and Samantha Madden, Jaxson and Ava Jane; Jake and Ashley Handy-Miner; Phillip, Melissa, and Catie Ivey; Charlie Handy; Gregory, Kendall, and Gamble Handy; Kim, Connor, and Taran Todd; James, Tina, Gabe, and Drew Bradshaw; and Tanya and Olivia Herman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Jackson and Irene Hendrickson; her husband, William Handy; a son, Rodney Handy; a sister, Linda Garrett; and a brother, Jack Hendrickson.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Becky Wilcox will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Cedar Creek Mission and Outreach, Isaiah House, or the Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society.
