She retired from Magnavox after 45 years of service.
Mrs. Waddell was a member of Flag Branch Church of God, where she was active as long as her health permitted. She enjoyed singing gospel music, playing her piano and singing in church.
She was a godly lady with a strong love for her Lord and those surrounding her. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother that never met a stranger.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Ricky and Margie Waddell of Afton; two daughters: Lisa Waddell Winters and Tina Waddell, both of Greeneville;
grandchildren: Kayla Winters of Church Hill, Kassie Winters of Elizabethton, Ashlyn Tarlton, Jessica Tarlton, Shanna Jones, and Lindsey Richesin, all of Greeneville, Jessie Richesin of Afton, Teresa Spears and Kim Waddell; a twin brother: P. C. Fillers and wife, Geraldine, of Greeneville; a sister: Ann Brooks of Greeneville; sister-in-law: Sallie Kate Brown; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Doc Edward and Nellie Elvira Hensley Fillers and was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Paul Waddell; a stepson, Beech Carol Waddell; an infant brother, George Lester Fillers; other brothers, Dallas Fillers, Albert Fillers, Edward Fillers and Jay Fillers; sisters, Marie Bowers, Grace Wills; and a special friend, Dorothy Neas.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 8 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Willis Bowers and Rev. Jim Fillers officiating.
Interment will be at 11 am Wednesday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mike Hensley, Jamie Fillers, Bobby Dale Fillers, Jerry Fillers, Stevie Fillers, Ray Fillers, Dickie Shipley, Timmy Tarlton and Jeff Hilton.
Honorary Pallbearers are the staff of Laughlin Healthcare Center and members of Flag Branch Church of God.
Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
