She was retired from Magnavox. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her family and telling stories like nobody else could. She had a love for collecting cows and cheering on Tony Stewart.
Survivors include one son: Timmy W. Ricker; two grandchildren: Brook Ricker, with whom she lived with until her health declined, and Cody Ricker and wife, Brittany, both of Greeneville; great grandchildren: Gracie Ricker and Madilyn Ricker (unborn); a sister and brother-in-law: Lisa and Philip Smith of Baldwin, Georgia; an aunt: Virginia Bevill; niece and nephew: Jessica Smith and Addison Smith; several cousins; and special extended family: Christa and Lexi Miller, Billy and Debra Shope, Brandy, Mason and Bailey Fann, Rhonda Castro and Rebecca Purcell.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Dorothy June Cobble; six aunts: Faye Vanderslice, Mary Ruth Presley, Rosalee Cobble, Madeline Miller, Bobbie Hawk; and three uncles: Leonard Cobble, Earnest Cobble and Calvin Cobble
The family will receive friends 3-5 pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel.
The funeral service will follow at 5 pm Sunday in the funeral home chapel. Rev. David Snyder and Philip Smith will officiate.
Interment will be 11 am Monday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Monday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cody Ricker, Philip Smith, Addison Smith, Billy Shope, Brock Campbell, Kevin “Bucky” Ayers, Roger Blake and Lynn Hope.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the staff of Amedisys Hospice and ICU and ER staff at Takoma Regional Hospital.
The family wished to express a special thanks to Sharee Southerland, P. J. Thornburg, Angie Wampler, Lauren Colmer and Katina Cloyd.
