James B. “Bud” Fellers, 72, of Greeneville, passed away peacefully at his home on July 2 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He lived his life to the fullest and has now entered into his eternal rest.
He retired from Jarden Zinc Products following 41 years of service.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he had served as a deacon since 1973.
He graduated from Camp Creek High School in 1963. He served in the National Guard for 6 years, and was a member of the Roby Senior Adult Center.
Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years: Frances June Fellers; daughter and son-in-law: Melanie and Bill Samples; sister and her husband: Kathy and Roger Hipps; sisters and brothers-in-law: Louise Fellers, Jean Wilhoit, Bill and Becky Davis, Jimmy Ricker and Ralph Ricker; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; his church family; and his friends at Roby Senior Adult Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Ray and Dorothy Fellers; brother: Mike Fellers; and sisters: Carol Porter and Karen Fellers.
The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church at 328 Biddle Street
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church with Rev. Paul Garritt officiating.
Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Charles Montgomery and staff, Dr. Dharmen Patel and staff, Smokey Mt. Hospice, Oxycare, and the caring nurses and staff of the 3rd floor west of Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
