He retired from TVA-John Sevier, where he was a maintenance foreman.
Glenn was a member of and attended faithfully Mosheim Central United Methodist Church.
He was born in Grainger County, the son of Carl and Lillie Ford.
He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corp, a Vietnam veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years: Martha Ford; three sons and two daughters-in-law: Eddie and Karen Ford, Mark and Kelly Ford, and Lester Ford; daughter and son-in-law: Amanda and Tony Yost; two granddaughters: Natalie Ford and Leah Ford; his mother: Lillie Ford; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Joyce Bales and Sandra and Ronnie Morgan; brother: Doyle Ford; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Richard and Merita Goodman and Hadley and Shirley Carter; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Ford, and a brother-in-law, Max Bales.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. James Brooks and Rev. Richard Long officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Mosheim. The Greene County Honor Guard and the Tennessee National Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Shane Carter, Ron Cansler, Max Miller Bales, Jeoffery Ford, Eric Jeffers, Roger Fair, and Robbie Ramsey.
Honorary pallbearers are his church family and his co-workers from TVA-John Sevier.
