He retired from Plus Mark after 20+ years of service.
Survivors include a daughter: April Helton of Jonesborough; a son: Johnny Helton of Greeneville; three granddaughters: Kayleh Helton, Savanna Solomon, and Briley Thomas; a grandson: Braydon Thomas; sisters and brothers-in-law: Brenda and Doug Gray, Karen Darnell, Debbie and Keith Johnson, all of Greeneville, and Kathryn and Bill Thompson of Maryville; a brother: Buddy Helton; special sisters-in-law: Phyllis Holt and Janie Pleasant; several other sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; mother-in-law: Anna Mae Davis of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Etta Mae Helton, and was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Helton, and a brother, Ronnie Helton.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8:30 pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8:30 pm Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Buster Shelton officiating.
Interment will be 11 am Tuesday in Mt. Hebron Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Johnson, Douglas Johnson, Anthony Thomas, David Carter, Paul Garritt, Tanner Pursely, and Nickie Partin.
The family wished to express a special thanks to the staff of Signature Health Care of Greeneville and to the staff of Amedisys Hospice.
