She was retired from GreeneValley Dev. Center as a food aide. She was the oldest member of Greeneville First Free Will Baptist Church where attending as long as she was able. She was a great blessing to all her church family and everyone she came in contact with.
She is survived by two sons: James Daugherty of Greeneville and Dennis (Joy) Daugherty of Russellville, TN; one daughter: Edna (Garry) Franklin; eight grandchildren: Carmelita Blakley, Angel Morris, Tamara (Jodie) Britton, Ronald (Rhonda) Franklin, Dennis Lynn (Sherry) Daugherty, Tonya Daugherty (Eric Daniels), Krystal (Teddy) Lawing and Jeffrey (Kaylynn) Daugherty; sixteen great grandchildren, thirteen great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews including two special nieces whom she loved as her children: Patricia Fillers and Mary Daugherty Romines.
She was the daughter of the late Ben and Ona Mae Bowman McCoy and was preceded in death by her husband: James Daugherty; a daughter: Wanda Bible; a daughter-in-law: Deborah Daugherty; five brothers and two sisters; one grandson: Jason Douglas Daugherty; one great grandson: Austin Steven Morris and one special nephew: C B Daugherty.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 5-7 pm Monday, May 6, 2024 preceding the funeral service at 7:00 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Larry McElroy and Rev. Jeffrey Daugherty officiating.
Interment will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet @ 12:00 pm Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Men of First FWB Church, Doyle Byrd and Dr. Charles Montgomery.
