David Thomas “Lum” Jennings, 74, of Jennings Road, Chuckey, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
He was a member of Mt. View Disciples of Christ.
He was a loving and devoted father and was known as “Poppy” to all the children in the area.
Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: Penny and Kenzie Seals of Rogersville and Lola Callahan of Chuckey; two grandchildren: Trey Callahan and Brittany Hensley; four great grandchildren: Sean Riddle, Haley Riddle, Levi Campbell, and Zoey Callahan; brother and sister-in-law: William “Bud” and Shirley Jennings; sister: Florence Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Tursey Jennings; two grandchildren: Candy Riddle and John Thomas Bowlin; and his parents: Arles and Lola Jennings.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2pm Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Kent Stills officiating.
