Charles Alexander Susong

He was retired from Greeneville Light and Power.

Mr. Susong was a member of Reformation Lutheran Church.

He was a member of the Greeneville Moose Lodge and was a Legionnaire.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law: Cathy and David Hooper; a grandson: Artie Allen and wife, Heather; great grandson: Grayson Kelly Allen; a sister and brother-in-law: Marjorie Susong and Homer Davenport; one brother: Frank Susong; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was the son of the late Taylor and Mary Guinn Susong and was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Mary Cobble Susong; a sister, Billie Johnston.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at Reformation Lutheran Church.

Pastor Rick Ohsiek will officiate. Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Dickie Harmon, W. T. Daniels, Josh Parkins, Tim Shelton, Don Dykes, and John David Parkins

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Reformation Lutheran Church and the staff of Morning Point of Greeneville.

The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home. The body will lie in state 30 minutes preceding the funeral service at the church Wednesday.
