She was a retired Registered Nurse, having practiced in Columbus, GA, Memphis, TN, Knoxville, TN, and retiring from Johnson City Medical Center Same Day Surgery.
After retiring, she enjoyed traveling, especially to the Holy Land and administering medical attention to over 700 children in Sudan.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church where she was active in the United Methodist Women and Pep Club.
She is survived by her husband: William Louis Ricker, Jr.; a daughter and son-in-law: Michelle and Christopher Gentry of Knoxville; two grandchildren, who were her greatest joys in life: Jett and Kinsey Gentry; an aunt: Genell Shelton; sister-in-law: Nancy Ricker and a special friend: Renee Langeland.
She was the daughter of the late Clyde and Frances Inscore.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral service following visitation at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Jerry Jones will officiate.
Interment will be conducted at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Gentry, Jett Gentry, James Parks and Phillip Parks. Honorary pallbearers are Clifford Shelton, Tod Langeland and Randy Parks.
