Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Ross Anderson will be conducted Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time at the Greeneville Church of Christ, with Ross Anderson, Shane Hoover and Charles Roney officiating. Burial will follow in Carters Station Cemetery. Mrs. Anderson passed from this life on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at her home. She was 94.
She was a lifelong resident of Greene County, a 1939 graduate of Greeneville High School, a 1944 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a member of the Greeneville Church of Christ.
Mrs. Anderson was married to the late Will Anderson for 62 years prior to his passing in December, 2006.
She was employed by the Greene County School System for 20 years and served as a sponsor for the Future Homemakers of America club at West Greene High School.
Mrs. Anderson enjoyed working outside in her flowers. Roses were her favorite. When she wasn’t working outside, she delighted in preparing her families’ favorite dishes and having her dining table full of friends.
She is survived by her sons Ross, (Paula) of Fairburn, Georgia, and Clark, (Janet) of Huntsville, Alabama.; grandchildren: Scott Anderson, Heather Anderson Pruitt (Chuck), Reed (Laura Beth) Anderson, and Rebecca Anderson; great grandchildren Logan Ross Anderson and Ellie Pruitt; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be just prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from noon until 2:30 p.m. at the Greeneville Church of Christ.
Pallbearers will be Charles Warner, Bill Aiken, Reed Anderson, Scott Anderson, David Weems and Mike McElroy. Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Pruitt, James Warner and Mark Klepper.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to World Christian Broadcasting or the Hacienda of Hope via the Twickenham Church of Christ in Huntsville, Alabama.
