He was a retired employee of Superior Metals and owned and operated Broyles Upholstery for several years.
Mr. Broyles was a member of Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years: Marilyn Broyles; two daughters and sons-in-law: Judi and David Crockett of Chuckey; Jill and David Ricker of Tusculum; a son: Ricky Allen Broyles of Chuckey; granddaughter: Kristin Ricker; four grandsons: Jason Parkins; Chad Ricker and wife, Brooke; Brad Broyles; Brock Broyles; two great grandchildren: Jadelyn Myers and Bryson Broyles; his mother-in-law: Leo Thompson.
He was the son of the late Clay and Mayme Broyles and was preceded in death by a grandson, Chad Broyles and two brothers, Harold and Dwight Broyles.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2011, at the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Lynn Neas will officiate. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Union Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday preceding the funeral service. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery for the committal service at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.
