Paul Kent Ford

Paul Kent Ford, 70, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Born November 7, 1954 in Greencastle, the son of Harvey and Peggy (Thompson) Ford. He was a graduate of Cloverdale High School “Class of 1972”. Paul married Luanne Green on May 10, 1975 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Paul worked for over 30 years at Lobdell Emory (Greencastle Manufacturing/Oxford Automotive) where he was a member of the UAW. He also worked at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the Indy 500 and Brickyard 400 for many years. Paul was an active member of New Providence Baptist Church serving as a leader in Awana for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Luanne Ford; and sisters Andrea Albright and Katherine Tarantino. Paul is survived by his daughters Leanne Ford, Whitney (Sam) Smith, and Beth (Jacob) Wise; sisters Frances (Bill) Miller and Krystine Albright; brother Rick (Beverly) Ford; grandchildren, Schyler, Remington, and Haizlee Wise, Delaney and Trinity Phillips, Brady Calvert, and Jeffrey and Jonas Smith. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 20th from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
