Born August 9, 1949 in Greencastle, he was the son of William and Violet Mae (Hanlon) Rogers. He married Linda (Jones) on May 17, 1980.
Larry was a carpenter, he built several homes in and around Greencastle. He also worked in the Carpenter’s Union local 204.
He enjoyed camping and fishing. He loved gardening and was known as the “Tomato Man” on Avenue C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Noah Dewayne Rogers; two infant sons; a daughter Raejean Keyt; grandson Thomas Jason “TJ” Franklin and a nephew Eric Rogers.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Linda Rogers; daughters Rachel (Daniel) Davis, Jessica (Chris) Mitchell, Sue Ann (Andy) Cox; son Danny Dickey; brother Eddie (Rosie) Rogers; sisters Sandy (Rick) Underwood and Barb (Bill) Aker; 11 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM on Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home.
