Kristie Anne Hopkins

Kristie Hopkins, 76, of Stilesville, passed away on Monday, October 30th peacefully with her family by her side. She was born in Putnam County on December 13, 1946 to James and Wanda (McCammack) Ray. She was the last class to graduate from Stilesville High School in 1964 before it became Cascade High School Many will remember Kristie from First Citizens Bank in Greencastle where she worked for 25 years. From there she went on to finish her career with York Automotive in Greencastle for 25 years until her retirement in 2013. She enjoyed her family, working on her craft projects, reading, decorating her home for every holiday. She loved animals and supported local animal shelters. Saddened by their loss but will cherish her memory are her son Jay Hopkins and wife Jackie of Greencastle; three grandsons Tyler Hopkins of Greencastle, Benjamin (Sarai) McAllister of Spanaway, WA, and Tommy (Ashley) McAllister of Fillmore; great grandchildren Atlas, Landon, Benjamincito, Teddy, Liam and Nash. Also surviving, her sister and best friend Karen Simmons of Stilesville; nephew Mike (Liz) Simmons of Park City, UT, niece Mindy (Duane) Higgins of Franklin, TN and great nieces and nephews Christopher, Savannah, Sean, Parker, Anna, and Cameron. In order to honor Kristie’s wishes private graveside services will be held at the Stilesville Cemetery with Pastor and friend Joel Everson officiating.
