Karen Pauline Welty

Karen Pauline Welty, 82, of Bainbridge formerly of Coatesville, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2022.
Born January 21, 1940 in Greencastle, the daughter of Elmer Bruce and Maude Minnie (Ellis) Sims.
Karen was a homemaker and farmed with her husband on their family farm. She was a member of Lifespring Church of Bainbridge. Karen loved to play golf, bridge and winter in Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William Welty; brother Phillip Sims; and an infant sister Rebecca Sims.
Karen is survived by her husband Thomas Herbert; children Jeff (Yvonne) Welty, Vicky (Harold) Greene, and Kent (Sandy) Welty; brothers Michael (Terry) Sims and Doug (Julia) Sims; six grandchildren Matthew (Melissa) Welty, Alison (Jeremy) Briles, Michelle (Matthew) Williams, Tyler (Sara) Welty, Cory (Ronica) Welty, and Nathan (Grace) Welty; six great grandchildren; and six step children.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, November 11, 2022 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Stilesville Cemetery, Stilesville, IN.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 10th at the funeral home.
