Jack Lee Harney

Born July 12, 1952 in Greencastle, the son of Frank L. and Betty Jo (Snider) Harney. He was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Jack had retired from WVCF where he had worked as a correctional officer for 35 years. He was in CADRE and was the firearms instructor. He had also served as a licensed EMT.

He belonged to the NHR and drag raced for several years. Jack was also an avid gun collector.

He was preceded in death by his Father; sister Mona Monnett; son-in-law Brian Rodriguez; and best friend Scooter Vester.

Jack is survived by his children Megan Rodriguez, Michael Ford, Bill (Amanda) Wheeler, and Summer (Matt)Koenig; mother Betty Harney; brother Terry Harney; sisters Janice Wehr, Nancy (Manford) Stanfield, Lori Allen, Julie Jimenez, and Margaret (David) Shaner; grandchildren Madelyn, Maddix, Mylee,Jackson,Marissa, Aundrea, and Brian Jr.; and friend JoAnn Jones.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 30th at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Martin Cemetery, Ferndale, IN.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
