Obituary of Helen Mae Andrews
Helen Mae Andrews age 93 of Greencastle passed away on July 4, 2021. She was born on in Fayette County on Jan. 15, 1928 to Clifton and Hazel Hamon. She graduated from Straughn High School. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Andrews, her parents and her siblings: Aaron Hamon, Doris Scott and Thelma Robertson. Helen worked many jobs thru out her life. First Citizens Bank, License Branch, Shuee Loan Company, Auditor for the State and Innkeeper at many Motels. Most locals will remember her from the Cloverdale Holiday Inn. Her last job was courier for Communications Maintenance in Indy. . Helen was a life member of the Greencastle Moose Lodge. Helen was a hard working smart, happy, fun lady that loved and helped everyone. She loved her family so much and was known by her Grandchildren as Na-Na. She accomplished so much in her life and will be missed by all!! She is survived by: two daughters, Pam Pierce (Patrick Quillin) and Victoria Pierce (Paula Conley) Grandchildren: Rick (Karri) Stewart, Marci Mae (Travis) Grimes and Randy Stewart (Heather Burk), Jeri (Brandan) Kelter. Great Grandchildren: Dayne (Emily) Nelson, Kolten (Shelbi) Nelson, Brayten Mae Grimes (Jordan Neuert), Austin Stewart (JoAnna Parman), Trevvor Stewart(Clair Perry), Trinten Stewart(Maddy Fauverque), Luke Stewart, Johny Stewart, Elliott Kelter and Theo Kelter. Great Great Grandchildren: Kennedy Mae Nelson, Maddy Stewart, Karli Nelson, Mariah Stewart. Helen's Hamon and Pierce families including several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with sharing of memories and services at 3:00 PM. Inurnment will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, August 1, 2021 at the Ben Davis Cemetery in Rush County, IN Condolences and memories may be shared with the family c/o www.Hopkins-Rector.com.
