Gregory Lee Carter

Gregory was born July 14, 1946 to William Shell Carter and Winona Irene Carter (Ephlin) in Crawfordsville, IN.

Gregory was a longtime member of the Masons and the Scottish Rite. He was also a member for many years at the Daytona Beach Drive-In Christian Church in Daytona Beach, FL.

Gregory graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Transylvania University in Lexington, KY. He then went to work with State Farm Insurance for 25+ years starting in Lafayette, IN and then in Jacksonville, FL. He then spent the last 7 years here in Indiana, spending time with his loving sister Sandra.

Gregory is proceeded in death by his parents.

Gregory is survived by his sister Sandra Woods (Jim); his niece Kristie Rector (Bruce Richard); great-niece Katlyn Rector (Irvin Canas); great-nephew Brandon Rector (Lexi); cousin Mary Lou VanHuysen and several other cousins.

Services will be held at a later date in Daytona Beach, FL.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made to Daytona Beach Drive-In Christian Church at 3140 S Atlantic Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32118

Services have been entrusted to Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home.
