Etta Imogene John

Etta Imogene John, 83, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Waters of Greencastle. Etta was born in Marietta, Ohio on August 26, 1940, the daughter of Verl and Etta Mary (Giffen) Newlen, and was a graduate of Morgan County High School. Mrs. John worked for several years as a Secretary for ATC Associates. She was an avid reader. Survivors include her son, Chris John, (husband-John Robinson); two sisters, Valerie Scherrer, (husband- Chris), Cynthia John-Evans, (Andy); six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 50 years, Kenneth John; and a sister, Margaret Hivnor.
