Eileen LaFawn Yater

Eileen LaFawn Yater, 90, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022. Born January 17, 1932 in Pence, IN, the daughter of Jacob and Effie (Fisher) Fox. She was a graduate of Marshall High School. Eileen worked several years as an office assistant with Jedele Enterprises. She had previously worked at Harmless Laundries and P.R. Mallorys. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gerald P. Yater; daughter Charlene E. Cox; and brothers Glen Fox and Dwayne Mehaffey. Eileen is survived by her daughters Donna Byrd & husband Adam and Chris Clark & husband Steve; son Gerald P. Yater Jr. & wife Libby; grandchildren Nicole Byrd & husband Tyler Piersall, Laurie Walker, Derek Yater & wife Stephanie, Danny Yater & wife Mallory, Kevin Clark & wife Kathryn, and Danielle Koester & husband Robert; and nine great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at the Putnamville Cemetery. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
