Chester Lee O'Neal

Chester was born in Cloverdale on June 25, 1935, the son of Joshua and Ruby (Siddons) O’Neal, and was a graduate of Cloverdale High School.

Mr. O’Neal owned and operated Chet’s Repair Service for decades. He and his wife also owned and operated the BK Root Beer Stand for many years taking it from a four sandwich root beer stand to a full-fledged restaurant. He was a lover of music. He faithfully took care of his wife for many years through her long illness.

Survivors include his three children, Brad O’Neal, (Kim), Mt. Carmel, Illinois, Jeff O’Neal, Yalaha, Florida, and Kim Williamson, (John), Greencastle; four grandchildren, Jessica Zimmerman, (Jon), Rebecca O’Neal, Brittany White, (Kirby), and Hannah Kyger, (Uriah); six great-grandchildren, Chloe, Brady, Teagan, Tilly, Beau, and Riley; and his companion, Katherine Green.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 53 years, Mildred O’Neal; two brothers; and a daughter-in-law, Teresa O’Neal.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Forest Hill Cemetery.
