Charlotte was born in Greencastle on October 31, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Mackie Lee (Cartwright) Brown. She was a graduate of Greencastle High School and an alumni of DePauw University.
Charlotte was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She retired from IBM in 1987 after 25 years of service.
Survivors include three children: Raymond Churchill II (Denise) of Freemont California, Carmen Platt, (Henry) of Austin, Texas, and Rhonda Churchill-Smith of Wesley Chapel, Florida; a sister, Betty Campbell of Terre Haute, Indiana; five grandchildren:, Amon Churchill, Anjoli Hill, Jacob Churchill, Jason Smith and Matthan Churchill; three great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 46 years, Raymond; three brothers and four sisters.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2020, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Kirk Williams presiding. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
