Wayne Foster

Wayne Foster, 71, of Greeley, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. He was born May 16, 1950, in Grand Junction, Colorado, to Bert and Betty Foster. He and his life partner Bonni (Leyden) had been together for over 20 years.

Wayne graduated from high school in Grand Junction and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He went on to be a letter carrier, which he did for over 30 years.

He enjoyed rock hunting, fishing, hunting and horses….anything to spend time outdoors. He loved spending time with family and friends. He was also who to call when you needed anything.

He is survived by his wife Bonni; son Jason (Stephanie) Foster, daughter Kari Unselt; stepson Jarrod Leyden; stepdaughters Nicole (Jeff) Petersen, and Christy (Clinton) Hornig; brothers Robert (Claudia) Foster and Stan (Gale) Foster; grandchildren Mason Foster, Lexi Foster, Jack Foster, Alyssa Unselt, Brooke Unselt, Jade Leyden, Carsyn Petersen, Gavin Petersen, Kelton Petersen, Keegan Hornig, Aiden Hornig, and Addison & Kynlie Hornig; and great granddaughter Emma Unselt.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Raleigh Foster.
