She was raised in Eaton, Colorado, where she lived with Charles and Clara Cox. She graduated from Eaton High School in 1969. On May 6, 1969, Veldeane ran off and eloped with the love of her life, Wayne Wolery at 1:00 a.m. With a love for children, but unable to have any of their own, they adopted two wonderful boys, Shawn and Michael. That was just the start for Veldeane, as she was a daycare provider for over 25 years and helped raise 30-plus children. She had a heart of gold, where she was loved and admired by everyone who knew her. She had a love for elephants, enjoyed reading, and family was huge to her.
Veldeane was survived by her husband, Wayne; sons, Shawn (Jessica) and Michael (Cindy) Wolery; mother, Clara Cox; siblings, Cristine Santiago, Mark Cox, Charles Cox, Jr., Steven Cox and Linda Cox; nine grandchildren, Ashleigh Wolery, Brendan Wolery, Caitlyn Wolery, Wyatt Wolery, Emma Wolery, Evangeline Wolrey, Liam Wolrey, Jonah Schulz and Kaden Schulz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marjorie Karnik and Charles Cox, Sr., brother, Robin Karnik and sister, Kerri Ogle.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2019 at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 West 28th Street, Greeley. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
