Susie Hinojosa Sanchez died peacefully at Fairacres Manor on April 19, 2021. Susie was born on August 11, 1931 to Francisco and Lucy (Moralez) Hinojosa in Laredo, Texas. On September 16, 1947, Susie married Eutimeo Sanchez in Greeley.
Susie was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Susie enjoyed spending time with family, watching telenovelas, listening to Spanish music, dancing, and loved to cook. Her favorite pastimes included embroidery, sewing, scratch tickets, and doing word searches. Susie will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Susie is survived by four sons, Eutimeo Sanchez, Jr. (Julia), Ramon Sanchez, Paul Sanchez (Victoria) and Bennie Sanchez; three daughters, Rosa Christensen (Terry), Beatrice Basquez (John) and Lydia Mares (John); 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Surviving sisters; Dominga Morado, Beatrice Lira, Lily Loucks, Geneva Alvarado, Maurilia Chavez and Alice Fuentes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Juanita Palacios and Mary Crocker, two brothers, Rudy Hinojosa and Roland Hinojosa, and two grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on April 26, 2021, at 4:00 pm with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 West 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Funeral services will be held on April 27, 2021, at 10:00 am at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 West 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 28th Street, Greeley, Colorado.
