Sharon Lee Welch

Sharon Lee Welch, age 84 of Greeley, Colorado passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024. She was born on January 24, 1940 in Lakefield, Minnesota to Orin Emmett and Hazel Wilhema (Hass) Rossow.

Sharon married Robert Julius Welch on August 9, 1965 in South Dakota, until Bob’s passing on December 20, 1993. They had 3 children together that they raised between South Dakota, Oregon, and Colorado. Sharon retired from Navaho Inc. in 1991, where she and her husband were co-drivers.

Sharon resided and lived independently for more than 22 years at University Plaza Apartments in Greeley, Colorado. She was a very strong-willed person and independent. She was very family oriented, loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She would share pictures and stories about them whenever she could. In earlier years, she enjoyed crafting, including fabric painting, needle work, and crochet. Later in life she enjoyed word puzzles, board/card/domino games, planting in the community garden, feeding the squirrels in the courtyard, and building puzzles with University Plaza friends.

Sharon is survived by sons, Donald D. Welch of Oregon, Dale L. Welch (Lynda) of Greeley, Colorado; Thomas Rossow and Billy Rossow: Brother, Raymond Rossow of Thornton Colorado: Grandchildren; Jessica A. Welch, Becca Cuthbert; Kelsey N. Panos (Alex), Keith M. Welch (Jordyn), Kortney M. Silbaugh, Kenzie A. Mendez (Justin), Kristy L. Welch (Ryan); Jessica D. Winters: Great grandchildren; Logan A. and Maliya M. Panos, Kaide M. Welch, Jaxxon A. Silbaugh, Nyla R. and Kailani D. Mendez; Zane A. and Wyatt A. Miller; Everest Wright, America Berk, Robert Roche, Mia Winters. Several other children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren by marriage to Robert J. Welch.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Welch; Daughter, Judith E. Welch; Grandson Andrew O. Welch. Several other siblings, inlaws, children, and grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
