At the age of five, Ruth moved with her family to the small community of Fourway, northeast of Fort Lupton. She attended grade school at a one room school where she graduated eighth then went to high school until she was a Junior, when the family moved again to Wiggins, where she graduated. She worked for the telephone company for 36 years, then retired. She belonged to Tel. Trim Lines and Tel. Pioneers.
Ruth enjoyed hunting deer and elk and fishing in her earlier years. She also loved to crochet afghans for all member of her family and her friends.
Ruth is survived by two sisters, Ruby Bristol of Fort Morgan and Eunice Kobobel of Greeley; 13 nieces and nephews and 29 great-nieces and nephews.
She loved her little dachshunds; she had several over the years.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by five brothers, Raymond, George, Kenneth, Lee and Elwood and two sisters, Margaret Scoggins and Velma Pfister.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Briggsdale Cemetery, Briggsdale.
