Rosellen Goble, 95, of Greeley, passed away March 9, 2014 at Bonell Good Samaritan Center. Rosellen was born May 10, 1918 to Cary and Mertie (Wheaton) Warner in Champaign, Illinois. As an infant, Rosellen moved to Colorado with her mother.
Rosellen attended schools in Milliken. In 1940, Rosellen married Roy Whisman in California, he passed away in 1960. She then remarried Virgil Goble in 1963, he passed away in 1974.
Rosellen worked in Food Service at the University of Northern Colorado for over twenty years. She was an active member of the Evans Methodist Church, the Evans Extension Club and the Evans Senior Center. Rosellen was a social butterfly she enjoyed Tuesday Canasta games with her lady friends, playing the kazoo in the Evans Kitchen band and gambling. She also enjoyed bowling and traveling, especially trips to the mountains.
Rosellen is survived by one daughter, JoEllen (Patrick) Cariati of North Pole, Alaska; four step-children, Jeannine (Ronnie) Cooper of Greeley, Kathryn (Jay) Boedekker of Loveland, Ivan (Mary) Goble of Arvada, Helen (Larry) Magnuson of Evans; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and three brothers.
