Rose was born September 4, 1931 in the Bracewell are of rural Weld County. She was the daughter of Frank and Julia Garcia. Her immediate family was to include Martin Garcia, Angie (Martinez), Jenny (Martinez), Mary Ann (Pargas) Evelyn Muñoz, Glen Garcia, and Sally Larson.
At the age of four, Rose lived with her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dionisio Soria, at Farmers Spur, Weld County, CO. She attended Bracewell School, graduating with six classmates. In 2014 she attended a Bracewell Community Reunion and after 73 years enjoyed visiting with classmate Viola Gephart.
Rose met and later married Phil Pargas at Bracewell. To this union was born Rudy A. Pargas, Daniel Lee Pargas, Steven Russel Pargas and Genevieve Rose Pargas Bear.
Grandchildren became a driving force in her life. She continued to be influential in the lives of Gregory Pargas, Jeff Pargas, Beth Pargas, Angela (Bear) and Jessica Bear.
Rose was an active supporter and advocate of her grandchildren and was pleased to encourage them as they attended college at Northwest, MO, Colorado School of Mines, Colorado State, Colorado Beauty Academy at Ft. Collins, Prescott College, and the University of Nebraska.
After working at North Colorado Medical Center (34 years) and Dillards (21 years) she enjoyed her retirement years which were centered around volunteering and worship at St. Peters Church and of course the glory of being a great-grandma of Cayden Doyle, Alayna Rose Pargas and Hadley Maria Pargas.
Rose had a long and active life and her family would like to thank the community of St. Peters Church, her family and many friends who come from all walks of life.
