Robert Duane Redman, 76 of Thornton, CO, passed away at his home on July 16, 2019. He was born August 12, 1943 in Greeley, CO to Claude Raymond and Helen Irene (Cline) Redman. Robert married Susan Redman on December 26, 1971 in Greeley, CO.
Robert lived in Greeley from 1943 until 1981 and in Arvada/Thornton area since 1994. He owned his own painting business and spent his entire career in the building and construction industry.
Robert loved hot rods, searching for rocks and arrowheads, and observing the stars. He collected guns, knives, and coins and loved history, especially WWII. He knew every plane from that time period.
Most important to Robert was his family. He would do anything for them, especially his grandchildren. His sense of humor kept everyone on their toes. He could tell a joke like no other and had more one-liners than anyone could imagine.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; son Curtis (Tammy) Redman; daughters Courtney (Ty) Brooks and Cathi (Jason) Evans; sister Jeannie (Terry) Thompson; grandchildren, Tirza Redman, Corey Stiefel, Colby, Kelly and Kyle Brooks, Desiree, Deidre, Alyssa, Robert Evans.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Helen Redman; and his brother, Frosty Redman.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the Johnstown Cemetery, 450 S. Parish Ave., off County Rd 13, Johnstown, CO 80534. Reception to follow.
