Robert worked as a tinner by trade, but had many other interests and talents. Recently, he'd been writing his own music and learning to play guitar. He'd been living on the Pine Ridge Reservation for the past four years, and he'd made lots of friends. Many people knew him as 'the tamale man' since he would sell tamales. He also loved taking care of his dogs. He practiced Messianic Judaism, and this was an important part of his life.
Robert leaves behind his children, Brandy Bentley, Leticia Lopez, Isabella Aragon, Robert Lopez, Isaiah Lopez, and Nazareth Channel; siblings, Amy Sanchez, Victoria Isais, Marcella Perez, and Edrick Lopez; as well as ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lily Salaz and Robert Lopez Sr.; wife, Renee Lopez; brother, Adrian Lopez; sons, Joseph Lopez and Anthony Lopez; and grandson, Cruz Lopez.
Robert's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
