Pearl Hernandez

Pearl Hernandez, 81, of Greeley, died March 9, 2014 at her home. She was born December 8, 1932 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Patrick and Betty (Henry) Battelo. Pearl married Raul Hernandez in January 1948. They moved to Greeley in 1965.

Pearl was a Homemaker. Pearl was a loyal Christian for over 50 years, and a member of Primera Iglesia Bautista church for over 30 years. She taught her family to be honest with good solid advice and wisdom. Pearl didn’t know a stranger and she loved children.

She is survived by her daughters Margaret Hernandez, Esther (Steve) Vigil and Martha Hernandez; sons Mario (Sylvia) Hernandez, Ted (Crystal) Hernandez and Freddy Hernandez; brother Jake (Janice) Reyes; 15 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter Lilly Hernandez, her parents, and brothers Walter Batello, Sammy Reyes and Ruben Reyes.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at Stoddard Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 13, at Primera Iglesia Bautista, 1200 Third Avenue. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
