Martin Cornelio-Hernandez

Martin grew up in Mexico. He came to the U.S. when he was 16 years old, settling in Colorado. He and his family later moved to Dodge City, Kansas and then returned to Colorado, settling in Greeley.

On February 2, 1991, Martin married Sonia Araujo in Chahutemoc. He was a member of the Catholic faith.

Martin enjoyed playing guitar and loved to sing. He also enjoyed dancing and listening to music when out at clubs. He loved to grill outdoors and time spent with his family. His family was very important to him, especially his grandson, David. Most recently, Martin worked for Lowe’s Distribution Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Martin is survived by his wife, Sonia; daughter, Melissa Cornelio of Greeley; son, Jesus Cornelio of Greeley; two sisters, Maria Cornelio and Socorro Garcia (Vincente) both of Mexico; brother, Manuel Cornelio (Lucy) of Leadville, Colorado and grandson, David Cornelio.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Liturgical service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Stoddard Funeral Home. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
