She fought for answers long and hard for 8 days, until the good Lord called her home at 3:09pm on Sunday, September 1st, 2024, at The UCHealth Hospital in Greeley, Colorado.
Anyone who truly knew her, knew she missed and longed for my dad every single second of every single day. Even on her good days she still cried out for him, just wanting to be with him. Just to hold him and touch his face (her exact words.)
Her broken heart is what called her home, and I "Shenise" am happy knowing that she's in his arms once again, smiling that beautiful smile of hers.
She enjoyed watching I Love Lucy, Laverne & Shirley, Happy Days, Mama's Family, Little House on the Prairie and The Waltons.
She also enjoyed watching reels on Facebook, and being on her tablet or phone watching "Luke" a survivalist from Alaska. She also enjoyed all the warden shows on Animal Planet. She loved her crosswords and jigsaw puzzles, something or anything just to try and get through the day.
She enjoyed camping and fishing with her hubby Myron, and all the great camping times with The Garcia Family, (Uncle Lee, Aunt Cordy, and cousins Curtis and Kim aka "Mousey".)
She enjoyed spending as much time possible with her one and only grandson John Duran. The smile on his face, could always turn her frown upside down.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 37yrs Myron Segura, her father George Duran, her nephews Matt Griego Sr. and David Lee Griego Jr., and her brother in law David Lee Griego Sr., as well as many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She is survived by her two daughters Shenise Segura, as well as Shenise's dog and companion Samson Segura. Ashley Schwartz ( Kyle Schwartz ), and her pride and joy, her grandson John Duran.
She was also loved by her sister Coreen Duran, as well as her mother Esther Garcia Cardera and her step-father Patrick "Richard" Cardera.
She will also be missed by all her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A Recitation of the Rosary for Lori Ann will be held Monday, September 9, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, Colorado 80634. A Liturgy of the Word will occur Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. also at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel. She will be laid to rest on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Linn Grove Cemetery, 1700 Cedar Avenue, Greeley, followed by a reception at Allnutt Funeral Service, Macy Chapel.
