Linda grew up in Yuma, Colorado and came to Greeley in 1965, with her family. She graduated from Greeley High School in 1966. On March 24, 1966, she married Paul F. Harms, Sr. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Greeley. After their marriage, they lived in Greeley. She worked for School District 6 as a secretary and teacher’s aide. She was an announcer at the Pirate radio station.
Linda loved German shepherd dogs and was a member of the Rocky Mountain German Shepherd Club and Greeley Kennel Club. She helped raise a litter of German shepherd puppies and trained several of their German Shepherds. She even trained a German shepherd therapy dog, “Frank”, who she took to area nursing homes.
Linda loved gardening in her rose garden, knitting, collecting Southwestern Art and reading. She also enjoyed watching bull riding, mountain biking at Moab, Utah, hiking and camping in Southwest Colorado, Mesa Verde and the Chaco Culture National Canyon near Farmington, New Mexico.
Linda is survived by her husband, Paul of Greeley; daughter, Melissa Zambri of Ault; son, Paul F. Harms, Jr. (Marti Crouse) of Eaton; granddaughter, Hannah Zambri of Laramie, Wyoming; brother, Bill Phillips (Helen) of Eaton; niece, Amy Phillips of Meeteetse, Wyoming and nephew, John Phillips of Louisville, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Stoddard Funeral Home.
