It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Juanita "Bah" Archuleta, age 77, of Greeley, Colorado. Bah passed peacefully at home surrounded by her daughters and family on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.
Into your arms, O Lord, we humbly entrust our loving and patient Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, and Friend. In this life, you embraced her with your tender love; welcome her into paradise, where there will be no sorrow, no weeping, nor pain, but the fullness of peace and joy with Your Son and her Savior. Amen
Juanita was born on May 12, 1945 in Greeley CO, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. Fernandez and Tillie Medina Fernandez. Juanita was married to Sam Archuleta in 1964.
Juanita grew up in Cheyenne WY, Pierce CO and Greeley CO. Juanita was a faithful Catholic to the very end. She attended Greeley schools for early education and accomplished her personal goal and received her G.E.D later in life in 1994. Throughout her life she was employed in the laundry and food service industry. Juanita was an avid reader and enjoyed electric games and the Game Show Network. Juanita was a huge Denver Bronco fan. Juanita's family meant the world to her and loved every moment she spent with each and every one of them all. Juanita enjoyed time with her bestie Ruth Palomino and special care giver for the last year Mindy Valencia.
Juanita was survived by her daughters; Barb (Frank) Cisneros, Denise (Frank) Palomino of Greeley CO. Son's Michael (Barb) Rivas, Gerald (Joyce) Rivas of Bothell, WA and Steven Rivas of Covington, WA. Stepchildren Martha, Patsy, Margie, Andy, Ray and Abie. Two brothers Ted (JoAnn) Fernandez and Andy (Maria) Fernandez of Denver CO. Juanita had numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Her most dear and close grandchildren Cassi Palomino, Adelle Vialpando, Nick Cisneros, Frankie Cisneros, Chris Cisneros, Dominic Palomino, Juliana Palomino and great grandchildren Taryn Penaflor, Trevon Penaflor, Miley Marquez, X'zavier Cisneros, Zay Cisneros, Jovani Cisneros, and Terek Hernandez.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband Sam Archuleta, Sister Margo Salazar, Brother Bill Fernandez, Stepchildren Isabel Archuleta and Danny Archuleta.
She cared for her family and created a loving home.
Her kind and nurturing heart always comforted and shared a shoulder for anyone in need.
She will truly be missed but will live forever in our hearts with every smile, laughter, and tear we share.
Her beautiful smile and kind heart will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Rosary and Special Services will be held at Stoddard Funeral home Monday, August 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Please join the family in wearing Juanita's favorite color purple to the services.
Reception will be held at VFW Post 2121 2514 7th Avenue, Greeley CO 80631 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
