Jerry Lee Carr of Greeley, Colorado passed away peacefully on January 11, 2022, at Fairview Manor in Greely, Colorado at the age of 89. He was born February 24, 1932, in Greeley, Colorado to Charles Raymond and Lena Mary Beatrice Carr. Jerry married the love of his life Joyce Charlene Thompson on January 14, 1951.
Jerry was a member of the First Baptist Church of Greeley and the Moose Lodge. He worked as a retail clerk and later as produce manager for Safeway Stores Inc. until his retirement. He was a wonderful example a man who cared for those he loved through a life of diligence and hard work. He was always ready to take on a new do-it-yourself challenge whether it was changing out a motor in a vehicle, processing a deer or adding a new addition to his home. Jerry loved to hunt, fish, and spend time enjoying his mountain home in Red Feather Lakes.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father C. Raymond Carr of Greeley and mother, Lena Hudson Bird Smith of Greeley and brother, Dr. Charles Carr of Jonesboro, AR.
Jerry is survived by his wife Joyce Charlene Carr, brother-in-law Bill Thompson, sisters Mary Budin, Lola Molnar, and Mili Campbell, son Jerry Ray Carr and his wife Carla and their son Lance Carr and daughter Teresa Cralley and their families, son Robert Joe Carr and son John Tracy Carr and his sons Michael Carr and Raymond John (R.J.) Carr and their families.
Memorial Service will be held at Allnutt Funeral Service - Macy Chapel, 6521 W. 20th Street, Greeley, CO 80634, on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:00 am.
