Almost a decade later, I still think about you almost every day.  I think the last time we talked, I was maybe 8 or 9 years old. I remember admiring your treehouse every day from across the street, and being  devastated when a new family moved into your old house and took it down a few years back. Most of all, I remember my heart skipping a beat when I heard your name in "Make it Stop"; Listening to the song on repeat as a 14 or 15 year old as I tried to come to terms with my own sexuality. You have no idea of the impact you've made on my life. I wish you were able to see it in person. It's scary now that I've outlived you by 5 years. Today I'm thinking about what I would have said to myself as an insecure gay 15 year old, and how grateful I am for the time I knew you, even if we only spoke a few times.
I hope you've found peace and I'll see you again on the other side.

The last time I saw you, I was 6 years old at the old school house. Now I often find myself staring at the tree where your treehouse used to be at the most beautiful house across the street from me. I didn't know you, but I feel like I did. All I can remember is how kind and funny you were. When I heard your name in the song Make it Stop, things started making sense to me. That song saved my life, and you are the reason I radically love and accept myself. You were a beautiful and kind person, Harrison. May we meet again one day. 

I heard his name on Rise Against on a song called ""Make It Stop"" And all I have to say is he should have lived on and never gave up, but he couldn't stand it... May this wonderful young kid Rest In Peace... :(

There's not a single day that I don't think about you. I didn't really know you that well but I loved hanging out with you. You're a fantastic person. I will never forget you!

Its been almost eight months. We all miss you so much Harrison.

Harrison. Chase. Brown. The three words and names that I don't hear nearly enough. Everyday I wake up and question what's real, but I also have a time of remembrance. A time when I am with you on one of our great adventures through life. Whether it's at the Aggie, or when we would go ice-skating in Old Town and then book it to spoons. You created some of the best days of my life and that will not go unremembered. I miss you buddy. I guess I'll see you on the other side someday.

Harrison Chase Brown. I know it is kind of late signing this. But i miss you alot and it was fun meeting you in old town with Forrester. You had the best smile, and you could make me laugh alot. You were a great person, and i wish you could have seen that. I love you so much, and it really hurts that you are gone. We all love you and we think about you everyday. I listen to Make It Stop by Rise Against all the time, and it has your name in it. I hope you are having fun in heaven with God. Just know that we are thinking about you in our heads and hearts every single day. I love you.

Harrrison was a great friend to me! He stopped me from suicide and told me all the things good things in life and how much everyone would miss me. Now all I can think about is what if I could have repaid the favor he did for me. The favor of a life. I miss him so much! I miss his smile and his friendship! No matter what he could make anyone smile. He was everyones friend! Everyone loved him!!! I love you Harry!!!! I hope you get what you want for Christmas!

I was a friend of Harrison's at Boltz. Being a year younger i only knew him for so long. I loved being in band with him and would always smile when we passed in the hall. He could always make me feel better when i was down and had the best sense of humor of any person i know, from the inside jokes to the things we talked about a lunch. Band was tons of fun and was overjoyed to sit by him at concerts. To his parents, i am truly sorry. It is hard to lose a friend but a son, i can't fathom. He is always going to be loved and missed by everyone. R.I.P Harrison Brown.

I loved Harrison he was my best best friend and when i herd he died i just felt this urge to leave this thing that i wrote in rememberance of him. Harrison you are one fantastic kid one  that makes people smile everyday and now that you are gone you change their smiles to frowns and tears. But we have to move on so i hope to see him soon up there. WE LOVE YOU HARRISON CHASE BROWN!!!!!!!!!!!! I also wrote this this is what i wrote after he died. Every time i look in the mirror i see i single tear rolling down my face. And in that tear i see his face in that tear. And when i saw his face in that tear i realized that i had just lost my best friend. I hope to see you agian my friend. I hope you guys have read this cause i really did loose a best friend and you lost a son that meant a lot to us.

I am so very sorry to hear of Harrison's death.  It brought me to tears. I tried to kill myself the same way when I was 13 years old, and was saved by a man who saw me, stopped his car, jumping out, and dragging me off the chain link fence on the Freeway Overpass, just before I could jump.
Depression is insidious and is not always easily seen. It distorts our ability to think correctly, making us believe things that are not true and do not otherwise make any sense.  It can feel like you cannot talk to anyone about what you are feeling.  I never considered the impact my death would have on others.

I ran track with Harrison at Boltz Junior High School, I'll never forget how nice he was, eager to lead too.  He always used to smile at we when we were doing warmups and was super excited about getting everyone to enjoy the sport.  I used to see him all the time at school and laugh at the silly things he did.  I now look at where he signed my friends' yearbooks and can't help but tear up.  I saw him at the New West Fest, briefly but still.  I only wish I'd said hi, because it was the last time I saw him.  To his parents and family, I'm praying for you guys.  This is horrible for you to go through and I wish you recovery and luck with this.  I always think of how bad I feel, and you must feel even worse.  Harrison is watching down on you, he loves us all still.  God bless you... and long live Harrison.

I didn't know Harrison very long, having only met him last year at Poudre High School, but it always seemed to me that he was so outgoing and friendly that it doesn't matter, I know he was a truly thoughtful and kind person. Though I am currently out of the country, I am thinking of him and his loved ones during this time and have no doubt that he will be missed my all who knew him. My deepest condolences.

I did not know Harrison but my nephew was friends with him and last night I heard of his passing and I wanted to send some healing light your way!  I could only imagine how difficult this time is and my heart is sharing in all your pain at this time. Please know that there are people in the community who are here to help in any way possible!  If interested at all in the future a woman by the name of Bailey Stentson who runs Happy Heart farm runs a grief group. i did not know harrison, but my fiance angela (jim and linda andersen's daughter), knew him very well. i accompanied angela to his funeral along with jim and linda. harrison seemed to be truely a great person to have around, with a smile unlike any other. i know the grief can be unbearable at times. angela and my thoughts are with you at your time of need, and your time of grief. we wish you happiness, and we wish you love...

i met harrison at crystal lake two summers ago. Those few days me and my friends spent with him and is his family had been the most inspiring and adventurous days i have ever experienced. Harrison was one outgoing and fearless kid. He loved being involved with with the world and would do anything to help anyone who needed it. Harison brought the light to this world. Between listening to music, eating oreos, and discussing the reasoning for organic watermelons, Harrison became one of my very close friends and somebody I could always look up to. I always knew Harrison would be a person to change this world, and you know what? He did. He is truly a blessing in my life and I will never forget him.

The short amount of time we had to spend with Harrison was the most amazing time we have had. He was the most genuine person we have ever met. He always had that huge smile on his face and could make you laugh at anytime. I can't imagine what his family is going though they are all amazing people. You are in our prayers

I also met Harrison at Crystal Lake two summers ago. We hung out with Harrison and his family for a few days and they were the most amazing people you could ever meet. They all had great personalities and could make you laugh for hours on end. This is such a horrific loss for them and I send my prayers. I met Harrison at Crystal Lake.  The first thing i noticed about him was his incredible smile and happy character.  He knew how to bring everyone together even in awkward situations.  My favorite summer memory was sleeping outside his cottage by a roaring fire.  I will never forget the time we spent together, although it was short.  Harrison was a wonderful person.  Rest in peace.

I had moved to Wellington and met Harrison again in our Spanish class last year. I met Harrison through the Boxelder schoolhouse this summer as he was a helper in my daughter's class...the kids just loved him and were very concerned and upset when he was injured and couldn't be a part of the experience anymore. He seemed like such a neat young man as he was at ease with the kids, very good-natured, and always had a smile. We are so sorry for your loss but thank you for raising such a special young man who left his mark on this world as evidenced by all who have been touched by him. Paul,Barb and family,words can not express the deep feeling of this untimely event in your lives. As you know I have become involved with raising two boys and now a grandson and I reflect daily how delicate and fragile we all are.Harrison's young life was full of accomplishments and growing memories. I don't think we can entirely let go but can always lean on a multitude of friends and relatives for support for the rest of lives.

My best memories of Harrison are of his beautiful eyes, and is brightening smile.  He could always make me laugh, or make my day better, and I will miss seeing him read poetry at the poetry slams.  The poetry slams were where I first met him, and last saw him.  I offer my condolences to his family, and especially to his parents, but offer this one glimmer of hope - that he is being taken care of up in heaven by my beautiful Caroline.  
I will always cherish the memories I made with Harrison, and he will never be forgotten.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Harrison.  I work with his aunt Barbara and I always enjoyed hearing the wonderful stories she shared about him.   Between her stories and the tributes to him I have read this week, I know he was a wonderful, smart, and caring young man who brought such joy to so many peoples lives.  Please accept my sincere condolences and know that my thoughts are with the entire family during this difficult time.

Please know you are in our prayers!  My daughter, Anna spoke of Harrison's ability to make people laugh and cry with his poetry he shared in her IB classes.  My husband Dave had him in Pottery class this semester at Poudre and he loved his sense of humor.  
It seems it's a blessing and a curse when some people feel things so deeply.  We are praying for the ""peace that passes understanding"" as you navigate your way through this stormy, stormy time!

I am very sorry to learn of Harrison's death, and please accept my condolences to the Brown family, especially for Harrison's Aunt Barbara, my colleague in Albany.

I did not personally know Harrison or his family, but learning of your loss saddened me very deeply.  You have my sincerest condolences.

H-Brown, man I enjoyed having you in class and on the Boltz Track Team! Your positive energy, smile and heart were second to no one. -You would even get to know and befriend our special needs and disabled kids. I'll never forget the musical theater trip to NYC in January of 2008.... You were an ice skating machine at Rockefeller Plaza! Peace be with you on your journey to a better place.

 I don't know you or Harrison. There are no words to descibe what you are going through. My love and Prayers are with you and your family.

What not everybody knows about Harrison is that on the first Friday of almost every month, Harrison rode his long board down to the poetry slam at the Bean Cycle. He'd sign up to read and compete in Spoken Word Performance with us. His original work had the ability to make us stop and listen till there wasn't a movement in the room; just Harrison, eloquently, magnificently riding the wild horses in his heart -- with his words.    I didn't know Harrison as well as some others, but I do remember the first time I met him. He had the biggest smile on his face. From what I have heard Harrison was an amazing person. He has touched so many hearts. May God grant you peace and love throughout this. May Harrison rest in peace.

Barb,
When Harrison first walked into our home he offered a firm handshake and looked me in the eye.  You should know the last time I drove him home how highly he spoke of his mother.  I respect you for calling me so we could keep tabs on our kiddos, even when the phone calls weren't easy.  Harrison was always welcome in our home, he is missed.

I knew Harrison in elementary school and was shocked to find out about his passing. My deepest condolences go out to his family and friends. I wish that I had gotten to spend more time with him, but I am glad to have had the pleasure to know such a good person.
