Donald Arthur Beierbach, 81, of Greeley died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at North Colorado Medical Center, Hospice unit. Donald was born on February 26, 1931 in La Salle, Colorado to Rheinold and Mary (Weber) Beierbach.
Donald grew up in the La Salle and Greeley areas. He attended Meeker Junior High, Greeley High, Colorado State College, Aims Community College and the University of Denver. He was employed with Harry Cameron’s Café’s and No-De-Lay Drive-In, Colorado State Highway Dept., Colorado Bureau of Prisons, Hibbs Clothing, D&D Bean, Royer’s Insurance, Adoubon Park and Winograd’s Steele.
On July 22, 1963, he married Dolores “D” Davis at the First United Methodist Church in Greeley. He was a Life Member of the American Legion, VFW, Elks, Moose, Forty and Eight, Sigma Chi Fraternity, Evans Chamber and the Windsor Rotary.
Donald served in the National Guard of Colorado. He served during the Korean war, stationed in Japan. Donald was with the National Box Car Association and delivered “Prime Time News”, a senior newspaper.
Donald is survived by his wife, Dolores “D” Beierbach of Greeley; his daughter, Patricia Kay Frick of Oakland, California and four “adopted” grand and great-grandchildren, Todd, Rhonda, Cheyenne and Gavin Amen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reinhold and Mary, brother, Floyd, sister, Dorothy and his nieces and nephews, Pamela, Allan and Deborah.
Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
