I just learned of Don's passing tonight when I called Shirley Schubert in Richardton - what a shock!!!  I am so sorry.  I remember him as a teenager when I lived in ND with his cousin, Bill (my ex) and he stopped in Salem to see me a few years ago when he was on his way to Eugene and we spent about 2 hours visiting and talking about old times and catching up.  I was so impressed with him and what a wonderful man he grew up to be. I will miss him.

We didn?'t have the opportunity to see Don very often, but we remember how sweet, accommodating, and funny Don was to us over the years.  We have been best friends with Brad and Ann since college, they are like family to us.  Through them we had the opportunity to get to know Don and know how incredible of a father and grandpa he was.  He is an inspiration to all of us.  We will miss him very much.  Greg and I will be thinking of you during this tough time.
