Dolly was born in Denver to Felix Montoya and Crestina Lopez. She grew up in the Greeley area. She met and married Porferio A. "Herman" Garcia, the love of her life on February 28, 1964. They were married for 57 years. Dolly worked at North Colorado Medical Center and retired from K-Mart.
Dolly and Herman had two children, Karen (Dennis) Baca and Tammy (Kyle) Parker.
She is survived by her sister, Ida Aragon; brother, Floyd Lopez; sister, Yvonne Schaaf; her grandchildren, Crestina, Menio, Taylor and seven great-grandchildren, Dominique, Nemiah, Adyn, Andrew, Emery, Audrey, Adeline and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Magdalena, her parents, Crestina and Felix, two brothers, Mike and Henry and three sisters, Rosemarie, Rosie and Eva.
Dolly loved to camp, fish, hunt and dance (even when they were joking that he carried her) with her love, Herman. They were inseparable.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 with Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1000 Country Acres Drive, Johnstown, Colorado. Interment Sunset Memorial Gardens.
