Carol Wohlfahrt, 62, of Greeley, passed away at North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley on October 29, 2021. Carol was born February 13, 1959, in Denver City, Texas, to Robert Hartsell and Lois Jean (Lewis) Stroud but was raised by Fran and James Sams.
She graduated from Carlsbad High School in New Mexico and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Lubbock Christian College. She worked at Factual Data for the past ten years as a Business and Data Analyst.
She met her husband Guy in New Mexico and they married June 1, 1981. They raised their children in Arizona before moving to South Dakota. They then followed their daughters to Colorado in 2007, as family was always the most important thing to Carol.
She became an active member of Westview Church of Christ in 2007 and taught bible school there. She enjoyed sewing, making jewelry, 3D printing and decorating. She most loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her husband Guy Wohlfahrt; daughters Chandal (Daniel) Bass, and Britta (Zach and Willow Johnson) Wohlfahrt; brothers Bobby Stroud, Don Sams, and Jim (Grace) Sams; sisters Jeanie (Jimmy) Mooring and Kathy Bogue; grandchildren Ayden Bass and Axton Bass.
She was preceded in death by Fran and James Sams; brothers Larry Stroud, and Rick Sams; and brother-in-law Mike Bogue.
