Billy Gene Markley, 86, of Eaton, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Aspen House in Loveland. He was born on July 27, 1929 in Platteville, Colorado to George A. and Edith (McCulloch) Markley. He was one of 11 children.
Billy has lived in Eaton for the past 65 years. On June 4, 1950, he married Donna Holeman in Wyoming. Billy worked for Harsh International for many years.
Billy enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed racing vehicles against his brother. Billy was a handyman. He loved watching his grandchildren in their sporting events.
Billy is survived by his wife, Donna; three daughters, Debi (Randy) Dyer, Diane (Perry) Wiedeman and Alice (Doug) Geisick; son, Jeff Markley; three sisters, Patty (William) Ray, Shirley and Irene Brown; seven grandchildren, Erin (Geoff) Livingstone, Jay R. (Emily) Wiedeman, Terra (Joe) Morgan, Nathan (Becky) Wiedeman, Kelli (Chuck) Burmeister, Amber (Kyle) Girdler and Levi (Ashton) Dyer and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Alice and Joann and brothers, Alfred, Kenneth, Edward and Wayne.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Stoddard Funeral Home.
