To the Krolich Family,

The members of the board of the Braille Authority of North America all wish to express their sympathy to you on Bettye??Ts death.
Bettye ??~s contribution to braille  and to blind people was huge. Music braille  has benefited so very much from her involvement nationally and internationally, and through BANA. We are thankful for her understated leadership and great sense of fairness which enabled her to influence outcomes and reach compromises. Transcription using the computer for six key entry was demonstrated by Bettye (with thanks also to Bob Steppe) thirty years ago and we have never looked back. Her involvement with Georgia was an inspiration and great learning experience for all.
We all have our own special memories of Bettye.  We see her with her ever-present back-pack and remember her great ability to treat everyone the same - that is ??ospecial???.

I am sad to hear of Bettye's passing, but I know she is in a much better place.  She was a very accomplished and modest woman with a wonderful smile. I had the privilege of knowing Bettye through P.E.O.  
May God grant you strength and peace in the coming days, and may many wonderful memories will your hearts with joy.
I am sorry I will not be able to attend Bettye's service as I currently live in Berlin, Germany.
