Betty Lorraine Wiley was born on October 3rd, 1928 in Grand Island Nebraska. At the age of 3 her family moved to Briggsdale, CO where she went to school. She played basketball at, and graduated from Briggsdale High School in 1947.
Following her graduation she married her forever love, Vernon Kremer who had served in the U.S. Navy. She quickly became a full time mother of six. For a short time she was a school bus driver but mostly she spent her summers gardening, canning, and preparing meals for numerous ranch hands. They raised their family on ranches in Wyoming and Colorado where Vern managed all of the ranch duties. She always had a meal on the table for anyone. Much of it accomplished without any modern appliances or the luxuries of today.
Together they settled in rural Brighton Colorado, where she spent her remaining years kissing many owies, playing family card games, enjoying family gatherings and an occasional trip to the casino. In the later part of her life she loved just sitting on the deck enjoying the lovely flowers her husband planted for her every summer, watching the birds, or their foster squirrels. She could always be heard happily whistling or humming a tune while savoring the little things in life. She was not one to argue, complain, or gossip. Vern was her rock, her love, her heart. The hand holding and endearing acts never ceased. Together they enjoyed 72 Years of joy, adventure, and loving devotion.
Betty is survived by her husband Vernon; her sisters Dorothy Nelson, Ault; Myrna Stoll, Greeley; her children Bonnie Miller, Wellington; Dan Kremer, Eaton; Dale Kremer, San Diego; Marvin Kremer, Brighton; Debbie Teller, Bayfield; Linda Abernathy, Brighton; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She died peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on the night of January 7th, 2020. Her whole life was a celebration of family. She was an endless source of love and joy.
We will always miss you Mom (Grandma, Great-Grandma, and Great-Great-Grandma)
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The SonFlower Ranch, a neighboring Wildlife Rehabilitation Center. Without them, we would not have seen the look of joy on Betty’s face when they would turn the squirrels loose at their home.
